Aesop Rock's “Pizza Alley” video picks up right where previous video “The Gates” left off, pulling viewers deeper into a broadening narrative that's rife with increasingly unhinged and hallucinatory imagery and animations, an apt parallel to the song’s lyrically labyrinthian paean to the album’s titular world.
The visual was directed by Aesop’s longtime collaborator Rob Shaw, with illustrations by Justin “Coro” Kaufman, who also designed the album’s vivid artwork and packaging.
