In efforts to support local youth, education, and the creative arts Rhymesayers Entertainment recently gave the students at The Minnesota School of Business and Minnesota Transitions High Schoolâ??s Digital Media Academy an opportunity to produce a music video for banner artist Atmosphere. The project features a music video for â??Becameâ? off of Atmosphereâ??s newest full-length album The Family Sign and a documentary covering the story of how so many came together to make it all happen. Kevin Beacham of Rhymesayers Entertainment : â??When we were approached by The Minnesota School Of Business about the project we thought it would be cool to see what type of direction the students would bring to the concept.â? After a collaborative effort among students and instructors with two days of shooting and a couple weeks of editing, the â??Becameâ? story was brought to life.
The music video and documentary trailer will premiere at a special in-store event at Fifth Element on Thursday, January 19th from 5-7pm. The event will also feature an interactive panel with Slug (Atmosphere), Nate Maydole (Visumm Media), Kevin Beacham (Rhymesayers Entertainment) and Sam Kovar (Minnesota School of Business) discussing the music and how the project all came together. RSVP on Facebook.
