Hail Mary Mallon tour wrap-up and Aesop Rock & Kimya Dawson interview!

All three members of Hail Mary Mallon (Aesop Rock, Rob Sonic, DJ Big Wiz) just wrapped up their tour and many shows with friend and collaborator Kimya Dawson! The tour brought them to Alaska, Massachusetts, Colorado, California, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C.

Before they played in San Diego, Aesop Rock and Kimya Dawson sat down with NBC San Diego and did a joint interview!

Here's a quick excerpt from Aes Rock about HMM as a group:

NBC: Can you tell me a little about Hail Mary Mallon?

AESOP ROCK: Rob Sonic, DJ Big Wiz, and I have been friends and tourmates for many years. We know each other well and have collaborated on each otherâ??s solo works. We always spoke about doing a record together, and the timing just felt right. I think Rob and I have similar sensibilities when it comes to rhyming, and the ideas just kinda started pouring out once we actually buckled down to do the record. We're also big fans of including scratching on our records, so including Wiz was a no-brainer. Source: The Odd Couple | NBC San Diego
