Yesterday we announced I Self Devine's new album The Sounds Of Low Class America will be dropping on Rhymesayers in May 2012. The release is prefaced by I Self's Culture Series, four free digital mixtapes that drop each month from now until April. To celebrate each release, I Self Devine will perform each mixtape live, front to back at First Avenue's 7th Street Entry with a collection of special guests from around the Twin Cities.

The first installment of The Culture Series mixtapes, LA State Of Mind and is now available for free download and streaming! With production from Benzilla, Emazin, Alchemist, Oh No, and I Self Devine himself, the new mixtape is sure to get your head nodding today!

In celebration of the release of the mixtape, I Self Devine, joined by Brother Ali, Muja Messiah,Alicia Steele & The Endevours,and DJs Kool Akiem, King Otto,and Just 9 will be playing in Minneapolis at 7th Street Entry on January 22nd, 2012.

Tickets for the show are only $10 and go on sale at Fifth Element, The Depot, Electric Fetus, and via eTix this Friday, January 6th at 11:00am CST. This is an 18+ event. RSVP now!
