Rhymesayers Invades SXSW 2015!

Good news, Austin, TX... We'll be invading your area for SXSW this year!

As a part of celebrating our 20th anniversary, we will be taking part in SXSW Music this year starting with a panel on Thursday, March 19that 5 PMat the Austin Convention Center; Room 18ABC. Our speakers will include our artists Evidence and deM atlaS, Rhymesayers label staff Kevin Beacham and Jason "J Bird" Cook, as well as label founders Brent "Siddiq" Sayers and Sean "Slug" Daley.

Rhymesayers: Independent Since Day One
Panel Overview: In celebration of the label's 20th Year Anniversary in 2015, the Rhymesayers staff and artists will discuss the path of turning a passion into a successful business model. Starting from point zero (or less than), the founders of the Rhymesayers Label had no music industry experience and limited business backgrounds, but filled with passion and determination they were able to cultivate and invigorate a local following. Over the course of a few years they were able to grow that following regionally, nationally and eventually globally. This discussion will revisit the continual evolution of our story; the challenges and the successes.
