Sol Messiah’s experiences in Hip Hop and the music industry are deep and expansive. He established himself as a renaissance artist in the ‘90s, in his hometown of Atlanta, with a reputation as a breaker for Rock Steady Crew as well as a DJ and producer for a wealth of local talent, including his group, Jatis. These steps carved a path that would ultimately lead him to working with hitmaking super producer Dallas Austin, during Austin’s impressive streak of work in the ‘90s, with Sol Messiah doing co-production and adding scratches to several projects including TLC, Monica, Nappy Roots, Chamillionaire and Boyz II Men.
In recent years, much of his focus has been on working with long time collaborator and partner, Sa-Roc, including production of nearly all of her Rhymesayers debut album, The Sharecropper’s Daughter, as well as DJing for her live performances for the last 12 years. However, Sol Messiah still keeps his skills sharp by working with a diverse range of artists, including both, iconic artists and soon-to-be favorites.
Now, Sol Messiah puts his skills on display, remixing a wide swath of Hip Hop tracks from every corner of the genre on this expansive mixtape, Sol Messiah Did The Beat
